My bot project is an attempt to identify and classify the robots that visit the websites I control. You may be familiar with some bots but not others. Hopefully, my opinionated information will assist you in some way.
These are the five most recent bots I’ve examined:
The lua-resty-http user agent is the user agent for the Nginx Lua module. It lets the user manipulate the data as it’s received by the script.
The Aspider bot is a web crawler for a Search Technologies, a part of Accenture. It’s a pay-only search engine that more people will never use than will.
The Grammarly robot is the user agent for the Grammarly proofreading service. I prefer another proofreading service over this one.
Yahoo! Slurp is the robot for the Yahoo search engine. As far as I know, this search engine doesn’t exist in the United States anymore.
The ltx71 robot is for the LTX71 security research site. I don’t know what kind of security they’re researching and I’m waiting on a reply to a message.
You can find the rest of them on my bot list page.
